I bin in Harbin

So I'm all packed and ready to go, just have to wait another hour to go to the airport. My dad and I are flying to Chicago a day early, as he has business there and I've never seen the city. This also means I don't have to get up at 6 a.m. tomorrow to get to the airport to fly to Chicago and then to China. Should help my sanity.

I'll try to get a quick update out when I get to Beijing, which would be about 5 a.m. on the 26th EST. I get into Harbin on the 1st of September. Time to head out!

This is the first entry of my blog, in which I aim to record my experiences in Harbin, China. I will be in China from the 26th of August to late December. During this time I will be speaking lots and lots of Chinese. Some of you may have noticed this is a .de blog. Yes, that means it's hosted in Germany. This is a (futile?) effort to avoid Chinese censors. I also have a German e-mail address at acoflan@gmx.de. Time will tell if this is worth it. Not much to write about now, so I'll start packing.
